An American Conservative Manifestos’ title would be more accurate than the title given to a recent book by Donald Trump’s chief strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, which was published last week.
The book is titled “An American Conservative: The Political Ideology of Steve Bannon.”
It features a foreword by the former White House chief strategist and a foreward by Breitbart News, the right-wing news website founded by Breitbart’s founder, Steve Bannon.
Bannon is credited with sparking a surge of populist anger in the U.S. against establishment elites in the wake of the 2016 election, but the book argues that Trump’s victory was not inevitable.
The authors contend that the “American right” was the product of years of social, political and economic pressure from the left and the left’s supporters.
Bannon is credited in the book with launching Breitbart News and helping it become a force in conservative media.
The authors argue that the right has been able to successfully harness its anger, and in some cases, that its anger has helped Trump to win the presidency, despite being a divisive figure.
They say the movement has benefited from a “conspiracy of silence” in the mainstream media, a “deep-seated distrust” among many conservatives of the mainstream press and a desire to “get their way” on issues like abortion and gay rights.
They also contend that Bannon’s “frightening” influence in the conservative movement, combined with a desire for “pure, unadulterated white supremacy,” has allowed for the resurgence of white nationalism in the United States.
The book, written by Bannon’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, was published in April.
It has been described as a blueprint for the future of the conservative media, including Breitbart, which is now owned by News Corp. News Corp, Trump’s media conglomerate.
The book includes Bannon’s thoughts on the Trump campaign, and its subsequent fallout.
“I have never been more proud of a man than when I was on his team,” Bannon wrote in the foreword.
“I am proud to have spent the past decade working with the man who brought America down, and I am proud of the millions of Americans who have followed his footsteps to the White House.”
Bannon has since left the Trump administration.
He has also distanced himself from Trump, whose administration he once called “a disgrace.”
“The man is not going to be around for long,” he said at the time.
